Municipal Election Nomination packages are available to be picked up at the Town of Vauxhall Office - 223 5th Street North, Vauxhall Alberta, Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm (Office closed 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch) or view and save the package in Adobe PDF format here. (The file is quite large please be patient while it opens). Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the file and is available free of charge from Adobe Systems Inc. The package provides the necessary information criteria and registration forms required for residents of the Town of Vauxhall interested in running for municipal public office.  We encourage all residents to review the package to see if serving on Town Council is something you would like to participate in. If you are not sure, we would also like to extend an invitation to you to attend Council meetings on the first and third Monday's of each month to see our Council in session (Council Meetings convene at 6:30pm). Given the hot temperatures that we have been enjoying, a higher than normal demand for treated water has been placed on the water treatment plant. The truck fill station has been temporarily disconnected and a voluntary water usage restriction is in effect till further notice.

The 30th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run for the cure for Cancer is being held on Sunday September 19 here in Vauxhall. Registration information is available in the Newsletter or by visiting the Vauxhall Business Society Home page - http://vauxhallbusiness.com/  C'mon out and walk  - run - ride in support of a cure.
