Emergency Services
We are a part of Alberta Health Care (AHS) extensive Alberta wide health care network. In case of an emergency please call 911.
Calls for an ambulance in our zone go to a dispatch center in Calgary that will send out the nearest available ambulance to you. We have a full ambulance crew locally that includes 23 volunteers, 13 EMT’s, 10 EMR’s, one BLS Ambulance & one AHS spare.
911 Calls for Fire & Police are handled through dispatch in Taber that will then contact local police & area fire departments. We have a full fire department that is part of the Regional Fire Authority (through the MD of Taber). Our local fire department currently has 16 volunteers, 1 Full Time Fire Chief/AHS EMS Coordinator & 6 fire vehicles. Our neighbors in Enchant & Hays also have volunteer fire departments who are able to provide back-up if needed.
